Cricket to Lincoln

My dearest Lincoln,

From the very beginning, our connection felt strong and effortless. The love between us was instant, something we both recognized right away. Our first date ended up turning into 10 hours because neither one of us wanted it to end. I’ll never forget the moment I knew he was the one for me. We were sitting in his car watching the skyline, and we had been talking for hours on end. He was making me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt. In that moment, I realized I had never felt so much like myself. I was completely comfortable and safe.

Over the last two years, Lincoln has stood beside me with incredible patience, love, and understanding. He has helped healed parts of me I never thought I would get back. As a child, I was very loud, outspoken, goofy, and not afraid of anything. But overtime that part of was lost and I felt trapped in who I had become. It felt like there was no way out and that person was gone forever. As cheesy as it is, its as if i was a puzzle that was taken apart and lincoln was not only the missing piece all these years, but the glue. It took time, and a lot of emotions, but he did it. I am forever grateful he stuck by my side.

Loving Lincoln has been the most magical fairytale, and I feel so grateful that I get to spend my life with the person who not only loved me from day one, but stayed and grew with me every step of the way. He is my person, soulmate, love of my life, & best friend all in one. I love you, Lincoln.

Love,

Cricket

Lincoln to Cricket

My dearest Cricket,

The heart is an odd thing. It draws two people together with an inevitability that rivals the strongest of universal forces. Like magnets the pull never stops.

I believe this is why the concept of fate is so prevalent. When the right individuals meet, the pairing becomes so synonymous that having one without the other seems preposterous.

My world changed the day I met Cricket.

Within minutes, true separation became incomprehensible. I spent the following week in Atlanta at a concert, and even though we only went on a single date before I left, I spent every spare minute there speaking to Cricket and learning about their innermost thoughts and desires.

Every day since has been magical. From creating our own mannerisms and inside jokes to pushing each other to succeed at our goals, everything about my time with Cricket has brought me joy and wonder. Cricket is the softest, sweetest, most fun-loving soul I have ever met and I am so lucky to have met them. When I see Cricket’s smile, I feel the warmth of a cozy blanket on a winter day. When Cricket laughs, I hear the sweet singing of a nightingale in the springtime. Cricket is my home.

Our future still has much to hold, and words cannot explain the excitement I feel about being able to experience it at Cricket’s side. Thank you for changing my life Cricket, I love you.

Love,

Lincoln
